Last Call

She was just the woman writing between the lines and he was just the mysterious, intriguing man at the other end of the bar. He was the captivating sunrise and the magnetic sunset, the smooth shot of whiskey that made her lose control and the first sip of warm coffee on an Autumn day. He was just the man who she didn’t realize she had been writing about for her entire life.

It’s the muse effect. A heart provocatively infiltrated by its muse.

Hello

“Hello” is a heart wrenching collection of poetry, an awakening in the heart that echoed into eternity. Raw, vulnerable, and embracing of Goodbye…. A heart breaking and breathtaking reminder of that first hello that changed everything.

If we cannot start with forever, how about we start with Hello?

Christmas Letters

This is a profound collection of poetry derived from grounds of soil entangled in hands grasping for a lost love, unbearable grief, the magnetic, inconsistent eight ball rolling in and out of her life, a haunted home with ghosts of another life, and the desperate desire for the ghost of Christmas past.

Love and desire are tangled with absence and loss in Christmas letters never sent.

It was then she realized, it wasn’t simply that she was in love with him, it was that he made her fall in love with herself.

What readers are saying…

“Heartfelt and beautifully written. Strength and vulnerable intimacy transcend each page. They are timeless collections as the poet shows the limitless bounds of love and absence.”

-Andrea Sarola

“Absolutely captivating. Ryder is a magician with her words and able to spin emotional gold with her poetry. She deftly captures the ubiquitous rollercoaster that we endure in the pursuit of love.”
